Dr. David Westerhaus is a residency trained dentist anesthesiologist who completed his training at Loma Linda University Health in Southern California.

 

During his residency, he received extensive hospital based as well as outpatient training in medical and dental anesthesiology.  This included training in internal medicine and cardiology.  During his residency, he exclusively studied anesthesia, which provides for unparalleled knowledge and training in anesthesia and sedation needs for the dental setting.  

 

Prior to his training in anesthesiology, he completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and his Bachelor of Arts at Wheaton College in Illinois.

 

In addition to his extensive training, Dr. Westerhaus has the appropriate certificates necessary to administer office based dental anesthesia, including Basic Life Support/ Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS/ CPR), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support: Experienced Provider (ACLS).

 

Dr. Westerhaus is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, California Dental Society of Anesthesiology, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.

 

Dr. Westerhaus is proud to be providing general anesthesia and sedation for dental patients throughout Northern California.  He is committed to providing the highest levels of comfortable and safe anesthesia for dentistry.

 

During his free time, Dr. Westerhaus enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and five children.
